If the unit is to be installed on the floor, the supporting framework should be mounted to avoid
intake of water during rainy seasons. In snowy areas, it is important to prevent accumulated snow
from blocking up the escaping air. The recommended height is 20 – 30 cm.
A drain ditch or other facilities should be arranged under the outdoor unit to collect the water loss.
If installing the unit on the balcony or roof, the installation site must meet the allowable bearing
capacity of the building structure, without compromising the structural safety of the unit.
Ensure the unit is well ventilated, and the direction of the air exhaust is kept away from windows
of neighboring buildings, and the exhaust air cannot flow back. Furthermore, adequate space should
be available around the unit.
The unit must be installed on a reliable base or framework. The framework should be 3 times the
weight of the unit and safety measures should be taken to avoid the malfunctioning of the fasteners.
Above ground installations should be avoided as much as possible as the unit may fall and cause
injury
Do not install the heat pump close to a road or path to avoid the unit getting splashed on. Keep
children away from the heat pump.
