Chapter 2: Installation
NIC1/NIC2 (LAN1/LAN2)
The NIC (Network Interface Controller) LED connection for LAN port 1 is located on pins
11 and 12 of JF1, and LAN port 2 is on pins 9 and 10. Attach the NIC LED cables here to
display network activity. Refer to the table below for pin denitions.

UID Switch/BMC Reset/HDD LED
The UID switch/BMC Reset and HDD LED connections are located on pins 13 and 14 of JF1.
Pin 13 can be used for front UID swtich/BMC reset support. Momentarily press the button
connected to pin 13 of JF1 to enable front UID LED support. Pressing this button for more
than 10 seconds will reset the BMC. (See the note below.) Attach a cable to pin 14 to show
hard drive activity. Refer to the table below for pin denitions.
Note: Front UID switch support is only available in certain systems, depending on the
chassis used in the system.
