Installing a CPU Heatsink

Do not apply any thermal 1.
grease to the heatsink or the
CPU die because the required
amount has already been ap-
plied.

Install Screw#1
Place the heatsink on top of the 2.
CPU so that the four mounting
holes are aligned with those on
the retention mechanism.
Install two diagonal screws (ie 3.
the #1 and the #2 screws) and
tighten them until just snug
(-do not fully tighten the screws
to avoid possible damage to
the CPU.)
Finish the installation by fully 4.
tightening all four screws.
