Fuel System Check
1. Make sure there is enough fuel
in the fuel tank.
2. Make sure there is enough fuel
reaching the carburetor from
the fuel valve.
a. Loosen the drain screw
located under the carbure-
tor. Drain the fuel from the
carburetor into a container.
A.WARNING
Fuel and fuel vapor are highly
flammable and toxic. You can
be burned or poisoned when
handling fueL.
When draining the carburetor:
. Stop the engine and keep
flames, sparks, and heat
sources away.
. Drain fuel only outdoors or in
a well-ventilated area.
. Do not smoke.
. Wipe up spils immediately.
. Avoid breathing fuel vapor.
. Keep children and pets away.
. Dispose of drained fuel prop-
erly.
b. Tighten the drain screw.
c. Turn the engine stop switch
to the "0" position and the
ignition switch to the "ON"
position.
d. Push the electric starter
button for several seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to
the "OFF" position. .
e. Loosen the drain screw and
check that the carburetor is
filed back up with fueL.
f. Tighten the drain screw.
3. If fuel is reaching the carbure-
tor, ignition system should be
checked next.
