FRONT WHEEL REMOVAL
1. Place the motorcycle on the
side stand.
2. (SV650A) Remove the front
wheel speed sensor by remov-
ing the mounting bolt.
3. Remove both brake calipers
from the front forks by remov-
ing two mounting bolts 1 on
each of the calipers.
NOTE: Never squeeze the front
brake lever with the caliper
removed. It is very difficult to force
the pads back into the caliper
assembly and brake fluid leakage
may result.
4. Loosen the axle holder bolt 2
on the right front fork.
5. Loosen the axle 3 tempo-
rarily.
NOTE: A special tool is necessary
to loosen the shaft 3. The special
tool is available at your Suzuki
dealer.
6. Place an accessory service
stand or equivalent under the
swingarm to help stabilize the
rear end.
7. Carefully position a jack under
the engine and raise the jack
until the front wheel is slightly
off the ground.
NOTICE
Improper jacking may cause
damage to the fairing or oil fil-
ter.
Do not place the jack under the
lower part of the fairing or the
oil filter when jacking up the
motorcycle.
