Battery Removal
To remove the battery, follow the
procedure below:
1. Place the motorcycle on the
side stand.
2. Remove the seat by referring
to the SEAT LOCK section.
3. Remove the fuel cut sensor 1
from the battery holder 2.
WARNING
Batteries produce flammable
hydrogen gas which can
explode if exposed to flames or
sparks.
Keep flames and sparks away
from the battery. Never smoke
when working near the battery.
NOTICE
Exceeding the maximum
charging rate for the battery
can shorten its life.
Never exceed the maximum
charging rate for the battery.
WARNING
Wiping the battery with a dry
cloth can cause a static elec-
tricity spark, which can start a
fire.
Wipe the battery with a damp
cloth to avoid static electricity
build up.
