Function Description

The Svan SVSB84 is a heat pump dryer designed for drying various types of laundry. It features automatic controlled drying, which uses sensors to detect moisture and adjust drying time for optimal results, and time-controlled drying, allowing users to set a specific drying duration. • Towel: Specifically for towels.
  • Wool: For knitted sweaters.
  • Duvet: For down jackets.

  • Underwear, Denim, Shirts, Sportswear: Specific programs for these items.

Additional features include:

  • Dry Level: Allows selection of different drying intensities (Heavy, Strong, Normal) for specific programs.
  • Anti Crease: A default 30-minute anti-crease phase (extendable to 120 minutes) at the end of the cycle to prevent wrinkles.

  • Door Reversal: The door can be reversed for easier loading/unloading, requiring qualified personnel.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the dryer's performance and longevity:

  • Filter Cleaning: The lint filter must be cleaned frequently, ideally after each drying process. It can be removed, cleaned by hand or with a soft cloth, and washed with warm water if clogged.
  • Water Container Emptying: The water container, which collects condensed water, needs to be emptied after every drying cycle. The dryer will pause and alert the user if the container is full.
  • Filter Drawer Cleaning: The filter drawer, located behind a cover, contains a two-level filter (sponge and cloth) that traps lint not caught by the main filter. It should be cleaned after each drying process, and the filter cloth and sponge can be washed with warm water and thoroughly dried.
  • Evaporator Cleaning: Lint accumulated on the evaporator fins (behind the filter drawer) should be cleaned at least twice a month using a vacuum cleaner or soft brush. Protective gloves are recommended.
  • Humidity Sensor Cleaning: The humidity sensor in the tumbler should be cleaned regularly to remove calcium oxide buildup, which can affect its induction accuracy.
  • Control Panel Cleaning: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive substances, direct spraying, and contact with laundry pre-treatment products.
  • Stainless Steel Tumbler Cleaning: Use a damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner suitable for stainless steel surfaces, then dry with a clean cloth.
  • Door Cleaning: Periodically clean the interior of the door to remove fluff for correct drying.
  • Dryer Exterior Cleaning: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive substances and sharp objects to protect the high-gloss finish. Do not place heavy or sharp objects on the dryer.

Safety Warnings:

  • Always disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Do not clean with benzene, thinner, alcohol, or acetone.
  • Do not use the appliance without the filter.
  • Never attempt to clean evaporator fins with bare hands.
  • The appliance must be earthed, and any electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
  • Do not stop a tumble dry before the end of the cycle unless items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.
  • Do not put combustible liquids or items stained with them into the dryer.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to avoid backflow of gases from other fuel-burning appliances.
  • Do not dry items soiled with cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, or spot detergent without thorough washing in hot water with extra detergent first.
  • Remove all objects from pockets before loading laundry.
  • Do not overload the appliance.
  • The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device (e.g., timer) or connected to a circuit regularly switched on and off by a utility.
