Why won't my Sycamore APEX 3 Portable Generator start?

  Your Sycamore Portable Generator might not start due to several reasons. Ensure the generator switch is set to “RUN” and the fuel valve is in the “ON” position. Check for an empty fuel tank and fill it if necessary, or drain the tank and add fresh fuel if the gasoline is bad or contains water. Inspect the spark plug wire to ensure it's connected, and consider replacing the spark plug if it's faulty. Also, make sure the air cleaner is not dirty, and the oil level is adequate. If you over choked the engine, close the choke and set it to the “START” position.
