7.3. CUTTING CHAIN REPLACEMENT
• Disconnect the PTO shaft;
• Unscrew the screw and move the saw shield in the forward position;
• Loosen the cutting chain tensioning screw;
• Unscrew both nuts on the fixing plate until you can move the saw bar away from the tensioner;
• Remove the worn out cutting chain and replace it with a new sharp chain;
• Make sure the cutting teeth are turned in the right direction - the cutting edge on the top of the
saw bar must face the machine controls;
• Replace the cutting chain by carrying out the above steps in the reverse order, but do not forget
to tension the chain at the end;
• Remove sawdust from the saw bar holder, lubrication grove and the saw bar.
Wait 2 to 3 minutes for the new cutting chain to run in. Afterwards recheck the cutting chain
tension (See chapter: Tensioning a cutting chain).
Before replacing the cutting chain disconnect the machine drive!
