Sub-Audio Tones
CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System)
CTCSS is a technique that transmits a frequency below the audible
range (67-254.1Hz) along with the audio signal. Because its frequency
range is below standard audio frequencies, specifically less than 300Hz,
it is also referred to as sub-audio.
CDCSS (Cont inuous Digital Coded Squelch System)
CDCSS serves the same function as CTCSS but differs in that it uses a
digital code to determine whether squelch is activated. It consists of a
fixed code group that is cyclically transmitted. As its frequency is also
below 300Hz, it is known as digital sub-audio or digital sub-tone.
In the non-standard analog sub-tone editing mode, non-standard
sub-tones can be directly inputted.
FM Radio Function
Press the FM Key to activate the radio function, and the current
frequency of the radio will be displayed on the screen. You can adjust
the radio frequency using the Up/Down Keys or directly enter the
frequency (range 65.000~108.000MHz) using the numeric keypad.
While in radio mode, press the A/B Key to enter the automatic
station search mode. Press the FM Key again to exit the radio
mode.
