Display Setting of the DAB
Ensemble name
This displays the name of the Ensemble that is broadcasting
the programme.
Signal level
Signal strength display to check the antenna adjustment or
positioning for the best reception.
Date and time
This displays the current date and time, which is supplied by
the radio station and should always be accurate.
Band and Frequency
This displays the band and frequency of the Ensemble that is
broadcasting the programme.
Bitrate
The bitrate and sound mode of the current receiving
broadcast is displayed.
Stereo J (Joint Stereo) is a format of digital audio compression
used in DAB broadcast.
Sleep Timer Status
This displays the status of the sleep timer (‘OFF’ or remaining
time).
You can choose the type of information displayed in the second
line of the display while listening to or tuning in a DAB station.
Each time the INFO/RDS button is pressed, the information
is displayed as follows:
Programme type
This is a description of the type of broadcast supplied by the
radio station such as Pop, Rock or Classical music.
DLS
The Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) is the scrolling text label
supplied by the radio station. It may be information on music
titles or details regarding the programme or station.
