non-standard
records
and
making
adjustments
In
order
to
perform
program
record
play,
direct
song
selection,
and
forward
and
backward
skip
functions
properly,
this
unit
is
designed
so
that
the
stylus
is
lowered
shortly
before
(about
0.5
mm)
the
beginning
of
the
gap
between
songs.
Because
of
this,
no
sound
is
heard
for
about
ten
seconds
after
the
stylus
contacts
the
record
when
using
one
of
the
above
functions.

Adjusting
the
tonearm
lowering
position
The
stylus
set-down
adjustment
knob
is
properly
set
at
the
factory.
However,
if
it
has
been
jarred
loose
during
shipment,
the
tonearm
may
be
lowered
too
far
to
one
side
as
shown
in
the
diagram
to
the
right.
If
necessary,
correct
the
problem
as
described
below.
