Acquire the Signal
When the signal is not ltered, most measurements are taken on the foreground waveform. The min, max, a nd peak-to-peak
measurements are taken on the glitch capt ure background, because they measure the smallest an d largest amplitudes in
the waveform.
When the signal is ltered, all measurements are taken from the ltered waveform.
Dual-waveform math can be ltered; the chosen noise lter frequency also applies to math . Dual-waveform math does not
have a glitch capture background .
Search uses the glitch capture background, when available. This lets you better se arch for spikes and other ano malies.
Serial bus decode uses a full-re solution sample (foreground) waveform. When ltering is active, that waveform might not
be ltered to the chosen frequency.
