— Do not store or use gasoline or

other flammable vapors and

liquids in the vicinity of this or

any other appliance.

— What to Do If You Smell Gas

• Do not try to light any appli-

ance.

• Do not touch any electrical

switch; do not use any phone

in your building.

• Immediately call your gas

supplier from a neighbor's

phone. Follow the gas

supplier's instructions.

• If you cannot reach your gas

supplier, call the fire depart-

ment.

— Installation and service must be

performed by a qualified in-

staller, service agency or the

gas supplier.

This is an unvented gas-fired

heater. It uses air (oxygen) from

the room in which it is installed.

Provisions for adequate combus-

tion and ventilation air must be

provided. Refer to Page 4.

  Several factors can prevent the pilot light from igniting on your Temco Indoor Fireplace. It could be due to air in the gas line, which requires purging the lines and repeating the ignition process. Alternatively, there might be low gas pressure, a turned-off gas supply, or a blockage in the gas line, each needing to be checked and corrected. The control knob may not be in the pilot position or may not be pressed in while in pilot position. In case the ODS pilot orifice is clogged, it's best to call a qualified service person.

The ODS pilot orifice might be partially clogged, in which case you should contact a qualified service person or your gas company. There could be corrosion on the thermocouple contact, which needs cleaning. Other potential causes include a bad gas valve (which would need replacing), the control knob not being pressed in long enough (ensure you hold it for 60 seconds after lighting), a loose or damaged thermocouple connection (tighten or replace as needed), or the pilot flame not touching the thermocouple (requires a qualified service person).

The ignitor electrode might be positioned incorrectly, or the electrode itself could be broken, requiring replacement of the assembly. Check the ignitor cable for any pinching or breaks; free it if pinched, and replace it if damaged. Also, ensure the ignitor cable is properly connected to the ignitor.
