4.4 Use
The transmission of an assistance request through TMD MK3 SOS is subject
to the following limitations:
•
only 1 time between the vehicle's ignition (instrument panel on) and shutdown
(instrument panel off),
•
at the most 99 times within a day (24 h).
PROCEDURE WITH THE VEHICLE ON
Proceed as follows:
1.
Press the SOS button for more than two seconds.
PROCEDURE WITH THE VEHICLE OFF
Proceed as follows:
1.
Press the SOS button for approximately 2 seconds.
2.
Release the button.
3.
Make sure the backlighting of the button turned on (weak backlighting).
4.
Press the SOS button for more than two seconds.
In both cases, once the button is pressed, the following occurs:
•
intermittent activation of the backlighting,
•
a single tone audible warning.
At this point TMD MK3 EDR sends the request for assistance to the operations
centre.
The confirmation that the assistance request was sent is indicated by:
•
fixed activation of the button's backlighting (strong backlighting),
•
a single tone audible warning.
