16.IdentifyingRevisedMaterial
A.Additionsorrevisionstotextinanexistingsectionwillbeidentiedbyarevisionbarintheleftmargin
ofthepageandadjacenttothechange.
B.Revisedtextinsidetables,includingAppendices,willnotdisplayrevisionbars;however,theaffected
pagewilldisplaythecurrentrevisiondateintheDateofPageIssuelocation.
C.Whenextensivetechnicalchangesaremadetotextinanexistingsectionthatrequiresextensive
revision,revisionbarswillappearthefulllengthoftext.
D.Whenartinanexistingillustrationisrevised,arevisionbaralongtheentireverticallengthofoneside

A.Theowner/operatorisrequiredtomaintainapermanentlogbookforeachserialnumberedpropeller
assemblycontainingthefollowinginformation:
(1)Thetotaltime(ighthours)inserviceofeachpropellerassemblyincludingighthoursoneach
serialnumberedhubandblade.
(2)Theairplaneonwhichthepropellerhasbeeninstalled.(Recordedbytheairplanemanufacturer,
registrationnumber(tailnumber),aircraftserialnumber,andmodeltypes.)
(3)Thetimeinservice(ighthours)andthecalendarperiod(months,days,years)eachpropeller
assembly(recordedbyhubandbladeserialnumbers)wasinstalledonanaircraft.
(4)Recordsofthemaintenance,inspections,alterationsandoverhaulsperformedoneachpropeller
assembly.
(a)Therecordsmustinclude:

Adescriptionoftheworkperformed,includingthedispositionoftheaffectedparts.

Thedatethattheworkwasaccomplished.
3
Thesignatureandcerticationnumberofthepersonapprovingthepropeller
assemblyforreturntoservice.
