AIRWORTHINESS LIMITATIONS
1. Scope
A. This chap ter outlines the mandatory replacement time s and inspection intervals for propeller
component s conside re d to be life limited, or to require monitoring through schedul ed inspections.
This c hapter applies to items such as f atigue components and structure s that are considered a part
of the certification proces s .
NOTE: The Airworthines s Limitation s section i s FAA Approv ed and specifies m aintenance required
by 14 CFR 43.16 and 91.403, u nless an alternative program has be en FAA approved.
2. Definition
A. This c hapter c ontains tw o s ec tions as outlined below.
(1) Inspection Tim e Lim it s (4-10-0 0) describes and lists comp onents that are required to be
inspected at specified intervals. The intervals spec ified represent th e maximum ti me allowable
between inspections.
(2) Replacement Tim e Lim it s (4-11-00) describes and lists life limited components that are to be
replaced at a spec ific time.
