1.General
A.Theinstructionsforcontinuedairworthiness(ICA)inthispublicationusesthedataavailableatthe
timeofpublication.Thispublicationisupdated,supplemented,andchangedbyserviceletters,
servicebulletins,publicationrevisions,reissues,ICAsupplements,andtemporaryrevisions,which
aresuppliedbysubscriptionservicesavailablefromMcCauleyProductSupport.Allofthesechanges
becomepartofandarespecicallyincludedinthispublicationwhichistheprincipalmanualforICA.
ThelatestchangestothispublicationaregiventhroughtheMcCauleyProductSupportsubscription
servicesand/orMcCauleyauthorizedservicefacilities.
WARNING:ThepurchaseriswarnednottousethedatainMcCauley's
overhaul/maintenance/service/informationmanualswhenparts
aredesigned,manufactured,remanufactured,overhauled,and/or

whennew,remanufactured,oroverhauledMcCauleyapproved
partsareinstalled.Allinspectionintervals,replacementtime
limits,overhaultimelimits,themethodsofinspection,lifelimits,
cyclelimits,etc.,fornon-McCauleypartsmustcomefromthe
manufacturerand/orsellerofthenon-McCauleyparts.
B.Inspection,maintenanceandpartsrequirementsforSupplementalTypeCerticate(STC)installations
arenotgiveninthismanual.WhenthepropellerhasanSTCinstallation,thosepartsofthepropeller
thattheinstallationhasaneffecton,mustbeexaminedinaccordancewiththeinspectionprogram
publishedbytheowneroftheSTC.McCauley-suppliedinspectioncriteriamaynotbevalidfor
propellersthathaveSTCinstallationsbecausetheymaychangethesystemsinterface,operating
characteristicsandcomponentloadsorstressesonadjacentstructures.
WARNING:Anyinspectionand/orrepairrequiringdisassembly,reassemblyor
overhaulofaMcCauleypropellermustbedoneinanFAA-approved
orinternationalequivalentpropellerrepairstationbyqualied
personnel.
C.Usersofthismanualarepresumedtohavesufcienttrainingtofollowtheseinstructionscarefullyand
correctly.
D.Theinspectionrequirementsarestatedinamannertoestablishwhatpropellercomponentistobe
inspected,preferredinspectionmethod,andcriteriaforairworthiness.
