How to troubleshoot Textron Lawn Mower control module that does not power up?

If the control module of your Textron Lawn Mower isn't powering up, here's what you can check: 1. Test the 20A fuse F2. 2. Measure the voltage between control module terminal J3-5 and ground; it should be around 12 VDC. 3. With the key switch in the run position, measure the voltage between control module terminal J3-2 and ground; it should also be approximately 12 VDC. 4. Check the continuity between control module terminal J3-8 and ground; continuity should be indicated. 5. Test the key switch. 6. Try substituting the control module with a known good one to rule out a faulty module.
