If the starter motor solenoid doesn't engage, check the following: First, test the 50A circuit breaker F1. Then, reset the 30A circuit breaker F2 if it's tripped. Ensure the park brake lever is in the locked position and the PTO switch is in the OFF position. Also, test the park brake switch, PTO switch, accessory relay, and key switch. Finally, measure continuity between the key switch and starter solenoid, ensuring continuity is indicated.

      Sara FitzpatrickAug 18, 2025
If the glow plugs do not get hot, test the 50A circuit breaker F3. Check continuity between the 50A circuit breaker F3 and the glow plug solenoid terminal, the glow plug switch and glow plug solenoid terminal, and the glow plug solenoid terminal and ground; continuity must be indicated in all cases. Test the glow plug switch. With the glow plug switch in the ON position, measure voltage between the glow plug output terminal and ground; voltage must be approximately 12 VDC. Replace the glow plug solenoid if it is faulty. Clean and tighten the ring terminal connector at the glow plug terminal strip.
