Deck Motors
Removal and Installation
NOTE

Lift Valve
Removal and Installation
See Figure 6-66.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Raise seat and seat platform.
3. Remove instrument panel. (See “Instrument Panel”
on page 4-87.)
4. Drain hydraulic oil tank. (See “Hydraulic Oil Tank—
Drain Procedure” on page 6-58.)

5. Disconnect and move console wall (10) aside.
NOTE
Label connectors before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
6. Disconnect electrical connectors (3).
NOTES
• Label hydraulic hoses to aid in installation.
• Close all openings with caps or plugs to prevent
contamination.
7. Disconnect hydraulic tube (4).
8. Disconnect hydraulic hoses (5 through 8).
9. Remove pin (2).
10. Support lift valve (9).
11. Remove nuts, lock washers, and mounting screws
(1).
12. Remove lift valve (9).
Installation Notes
• Install the lift valve by reversing the order of removal.
• Make sure new O-rings are in place before installing
hoses on fittings.
• Replace hydraulic oil return filter. (See “Hydraulic Oil
Return Filter” on page 6-67.)
• Refill hydraulic tank. (Refer to “Safety, Operation, and
Maintenance Manual” for oil specifications.)
• Start engine. Check hydraulic system for leaks.
Repair as necessary.
• Check hydraulic oil level and add if necessary.
