Steering Tower Cover
Removal and Installation
See Figure 7-11.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Remove eight screws (2).
3. Remove steering tower cover (1).
Installation Note
Install the steering tower cover by reversing the order of
removal.
Steering Wheel
Removal and Installation
See Figure 7-12.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Remove (unsnap) the cap (1) from the steering
wheel (4).
3. Remove nut (2) and internal-tooth lock washer (3).
4. Remove the steering wheel (4) from the steering
column (7).
5. Remove four washers (5) and one seal (6) from the
steering column (7).
Installation Notes
• Install the steering wheel by reversing the order of
removal.
• Tighten the steering wheel nut (3) to 25–30 lb-ft (34–
41 N·m).
