Installation Notes
• Center the canopy before tightening the mounting
hardware.
• Install the canopy by reversing the order of removal.
Front Cowling
Removal and Installation
See Figures 9-5 through 9-7.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

IMPORTANT
Decks must be down during removal procedure.
OPS must be in the upright position.
2. Remove knob (1) and nut (2).
3. Remove nut (3) and washer (4), and remove deck
latch cable (6) from front cowling (5).
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for other side of machine.

5. Remove hose clamp (8) and fuel breather filter (7).
6. Pass the tank-to-breather filter hose (9) through
clamp (10) and front cowling.

7. Support the front cowling (11) using a suitable lifting
device.
8. Remove two screws (12) and washers (13).
9. Repeat step 8 for other side of machine.
10. Lift and rotate front cowling rearward until front
cowling clears the machine.
Installation Note
Install front cowling by reversing the order of removal.
