OPS
Removal and Installation
See Figure 9-8.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove canopy (if equipped). (See “Canopy” on
page 9-4.)
3. Remove front cowling. (See “Front Cowling” on
page 9-5.)

4. Support the OPS (1) using a suitable lifting device.
IMPORTANT
Decks must be down during removal procedure.
OPS must be in the upright position.
5. Remove the four OPS mounting bolts (2), nuts (3),
and washers (4).
6. Repeat step 5 for other side of machine.
7. Remove OPS (1).
Installation Notes
• Install OPS by reversing the order of removal.
• Tighten OPS mounting bolts to 135–165 lb-ft
(183–224 N·m).
Hood
Removal and Installation
See Figure 9-9.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Open and support hood (6) using a suitable lifting
device.
3. Remove gas spring clips (1) from each end of gas
spring (2).
4. Remove gas spring (2).
5. Remove lock nut (3), two washers (4), and screw (5).
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for other side of machine.
7. Remove hood (6).
Installation Notes
• Support the hood with a suitable lifting device to aid
in installation.
• Install hood by reversing the order of removal.
