7 Filling and bleeding
7.1 Filling and bleeding the brine circuit
1. Mix clean water and antifreeze ethanol for heat pump use to the correct freezing point in an clean external container .
2. Use a refractometer to check the freezing point, for the brine collector circuit, -17±2°C.
3.
Use an external pump to fill the brine system. Connect the pressure side of the pump to the filler cock.
4. Follow the instruction that comes with the filler unit.
5. Start the external pump and fill the brine circuit, proceed until all air is gone.

Filling and bleeding the water heater and heating system
1. Fill the water heater with cold water by opening the
shut-off valve on the incoming cold water pipe. Open
one of the hot water taps in the house.
2. Then fill the water heater coil and the heating system
with water to a pressure of 1 bar.

4. Open all heating system valves fully, bleed all heating
systems and the water heater coil thoroughly.
5. Localize the venting valve on the pipe from the heat
exchanger and bleed it for air (see figure to the left).
6. Refill the heating system to a pressure of approximately
1 bar.
7. Repeat the procedure until all air has been removed.
8. Check the system for leakage.
9. Leave the radiator valves fully open.
Note: As the air bleed (5) is placed on the suction side of the circulation
pump, the circulation pump must be off while bleeding to avoid air in-
gress.
