What to do if Thermo Scientific Ion 520 instrument will not begin a run?

If your Thermo Scientific Laboratory Equipment won't start a run, and the touchscreen shows Deck Scan warnings, check the consumables. Make sure all buckets are correctly seated in the rotors, all cartridges are correctly loaded and level, the barcodes of the Library Sample Tubes are visible and positioned correctly, and all tubes are present and uncapped on the Ion S5™ ExT Chef Reagents. If the error persists, and you are confident in your setup, you can tap YES following Deck Scan to proceed. Another possible cause is an internal error. In this case record the error displayed on the instrument display, then tap OK.
