7.5 Double-vane magnet
At the installed double-vane magnet the factory settings of the nut for the
compression spring (see Fig. 7.5.1)
must not be altered.

The nut is sealed (see Fig. 7.5.3).
Incorrectly set nuts can reduce the dead stroke (see Fig. 7.5.2) of the magnet
and lead to a deterioration in the braking characteristics or in extreme cases
to failure of the brake.
The check must be carried out within the framework of the next
maintenance.
