OPERATING MANUAL DAF380 MAINTENANCE/SERVICE
ThyssenKrupp Aufzugswerke GmbH
Installation:
Before mounting the encoder, clean the shaft end; do not apply grease.
The shaft end must be free of dirt and grease.
Carefully push the encoder and mounting sleeve in the direction of the
arrow shown in Fig. 7.8.1 onto the shaft until it makes contact with the
next shaft collar. The locking ring should be on the end accessible at the
rear and lie against the encoder housing.
Carefully tighten the screw on the locking ring, the encoder must not be
tensioned.
It must be easy to move the encoder housing on the shaft.
Push the cover over the encoder, whereby the fixing pin in the cover is to
be aligned to the mount on the encoder.
Continue to push the encoder with small rotary movements until it lies
against the motor casing and the fixing pin fixes the encoder housing in
position.
Tightly screw the cover on the motor casing (bearing cover).
Secure the fixing pin with the lock nut.
Plug the plug connector for the encoder connection in the socket at the
control system.
Important: Do not connect the encoder when it is under voltage, as
otherwise electronic components in the encoder will be destroyed.
When the encoder is not connected, the drive may only be switched on for
testing with the rope slack.
