SME2-IS - Manual - 06- 2021
FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Functions common to the
various reclosing sequences
Intentional reclosing commands reset the memorized reclosing counter.
Manual or remote opening always results in the automation going into standby with the denitive
interruption of any ongoing reclosing cycle, while time t
fa
, if it has started, continues counting down.
The cause of the unsuccessful reclosing is available so that the unsuccessful reclosing information
can be reported on the MMI / event log and with IEC61850 messages.
The number of reclosings and the number of failed reclosings are memorized in non volatile memory.
The reclosing function can be enabled/disabled remotely via the IEC61850 protocol.
The reclosing sequence is only executed if all the following conditions hold at the same time (logical
AND of the three conditions):
• reclosing program enabled via software (79 Mode = Rapid or Rapid+Slow)
• bistable relay in reclosing enabled position
• the most recent remote reclosing enable command was an enable command
The rapid reclosing is disabled when timer t
fa
expires, after which it is enabled since the previous
automation cycle is considered to have concluded.
— Hot Line Tag function
This function activates overcurrent protection elements which are more sensitive than the normal
reclosing sequence settings, and thus increases the safety of maintenance work on energised grids.
The RGDM device must thus allow for dedicated 50/50N and 51/51N overcurrent settings (with the
option to select the time/current curves) with the automatic reclosing function (79) blocked.
When the device is in local mode, this function may only be enabled/disabled using a dedicated
physical button (independent of the physical reclosable function button) on the device's front panel,
while in remote mode this function can be enabled/disabled via software or with a dedicated DNP3
command.
