2.3 BATTERY
The SDR-OMNI is factory equipped with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery capable of operating the
SDR-OMNI at a 20% duty cycle for up to 24 hours at -4 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) (-20 to 55 degrees Celsius
(°C)). This represents a full day of testing on a single charge. When operating the SDR-OMNI in lower
temperatures, the charge duration will decrease.
After 1 to 5 minutes of inactivity (selected in SETTINGS), the SDR-OMNI will automatically turn its display off to
conserve battery charge. If the AC Power Adapter/Charger is plugged in, the SDR-OMNI will NOT turn off the
display due to inactivity.
The SDR-OMNI batteries should be charged for a short time each week, regardless of SDR-OMNI usage. A
completely discharged battery will require approximately 2 hours to completely recharge. Occasional charges of
partially depleted batteries will have no adverse effects.
