CHAPTER 5 AVIONICS TESTING USING THE SDR-OMNI
5.1 TESTING ATC TRANSPONDERS
The SDR-OMNI has been designed to rapidly recertify Mode S ATC transponders according to US Federal
Aviation Regulations Part 43, Appendix F. This is the primary ATC transponder test function. In addition, there are
several other transponder test functions available in the Transponder Menu page; each is described below.
From the Home Menu screen (see Paragraph 4.3), select Air Traffic Control. The Air Traffic Control Menu
screen (Figure 5-1) will appear.
