Usage Features

Menu Options: The rice cooker offers several menus, including:

  • Plain/White: For standard white rice.
  • Ultra: For maximum sweetness, flavor, and stickiness of white rice.
  • Quick: For quick white rice cooking.
  • Express-Limited Cups: For cooking small amounts of white rice quickly (1-2 cups for 1.0 L type, 2-3 cups for 1.8 L type). Cooked rice may be slightly harder.
  • Eco: For energy-saving white rice cooking. Rice may be firmer.
  • Multigrain: For cooking white rice with other grains (barley, foxtail millet, black rice, red rice, etc.).
  • Brown: For brown rice.
  • GABA Brown: For soft and easy-to-chew brown rice, with increased GABA content.
  • Porridge: For cooking porridge (Firm and Soft options).
  • Mixed/Sweet: For seasoned rice or steamed sweet rice.
  • Long-grain: For long-grain rice.

Timer Function: Allows users to preset the desired completion time for cooking. Two timer settings ("Timer 1" and "Timer 2") can be stored for different times, e.g., breakfast and dinner. The timer can be set for up to 12 hours to prevent spoilage.

Keep Warm Function: Automatically activates after cooking to maintain the rice at an optimal temperature. It is recommended to serve porridge as soon as possible when using this function to prevent it from becoming pasty. The elapsed Keep Warm time can be displayed for up to 24 hours.

Reheating Cooked Rice: Cooked rice can be reheated by stirring and loosening it, adding 1-2 tablespoons of water, and pressing the [Start] key. Reheating is not recommended if the rice is too cold (55°C or lower) or if it has been reheated three or more times.

Slow Cooking ("Slow Cook" Menu): This menu allows for preparing simmered dishes and quick meals. The cooking process involves bringing food to near boiling, then gradually lowering the temperature for simmering, enhancing flavors without boiling down liquids. Cooking times can be set from 1 to 180 minutes.

Adjusting Steaming Time ("Express-Limited Cups" Menu): For the "Express-Limited Cups" menu, users can adjust the steaming time (0, +1, or +2 minutes) to control the hardness of the cooked rice.

Rice Preparation:

  • Measuring: Use the supplied measuring cup (approx. 0.18 L or 150 g per level cup).
  • Rinsing: Rinse rice quickly with cold water to prevent starch absorption.
  • Water Level: Adjust water according to the type of rice and menu, using the inner pot's scales as a guide. Extra water may be needed for rinse-free rice.
  • Adding Ingredients: The total amount of ingredients should not exceed 70 g per cup of rice (excluding "Porridge" menu). Add water before ingredients to avoid firm rice.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Frequency: Clean the rice cooker and its parts on the same day it is used to prevent corrosion, odors, and ensure proper functioning.
  • Parts to Wash: Inner pot, inner lid, steam cap, measuring cup, spatula, and ladle.
  • Cleaning Procedure:
    • Disconnect the power plug and allow parts to cool.
    • Wash parts with a sponge and mild detergent diluted in cold or lukewarm water.
    • Wipe all parts thoroughly with a dry cloth until completely dry.
    • Do not use harsh materials like wire wool, nylon scrubbing sponges, thinners, cleansers, bleach, or chemically treated cloths.
    • Do not wash the main body or pour water into it.
    • Do not use a dishwasher/dryer for any parts.
  • Center Sensor: Remove any burned rice or adhering grains. For stubborn residue, use fine sandpaper (around #320) and wipe with a wet cloth.
  • Air Inlet/Outlet: Remove dust using a cotton swab. Do not use the rice cooker if dust is adhering to these areas, as it can cause overheating and malfunction.

Removing and Attaching Inner Lid:

  • Removal: Push down and pull the inner lid levers towards the front to detach.
  • Attachment: Set the inner lid securely in place. Do not pull the inner lid gasket, as it is not removable and cannot be reattached if detached.

Removing and Attaching Steam Cap:

  • Removal: Insert a finger into the hole in the lid and lift the steam cap upward. Flip the steam cap over and remove the cap lid.
  • Attachment: Hook the cap lid onto the cap body and push until it clicks. Ensure gaskets are set securely. Do not remove the O-ring.

Removing Odors:

  • Fill the inner pot with water (70-80% full).
  • Select the "Plain/White" menu and press the [Start] key.
  • Once the Keep Warm lamp turns on, press the [Cancel] key.
  • Wash the inner pot, inner lid, and steam cap with standard kitchen detergent and rinse thoroughly.
  • Allow all parts to dry in a well-ventilated location.
  • For more effective deodorizing, add about 20 g of citric acid to the water.

Lithium Battery: The built-in lithium battery is not user-replaceable. Contact the place of purchase for replacement (a fee is required).

Consumables and Optional Accessories: Gaskets may need replacing over time due to wear. The inner pot's fluorocarbon resin coating may also wear and peel with extended use. Contact the place of purchase for replacements.
