In more detail . . .
> Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing.
> Slightly dampen surfaces in dusty conditions.
NOTE: In some countries regulations dene at what time of the day and on what
special days machines are allowed to be used and what restrictions apply! Ask
your community for detailed information and observe the regulations in order
to preserve a peaceful neighbourhood and avoid committing administrative
offenses!
Starting the engine
DANGER! Risk of re!
> Due to any spilled fuel, the machine can catch re.
> Wipe any spilled fuel up before starting.
>
Start the engine a few metres away from the place where you have lled it.
> Do not modify or remove any part of the mufer (18).
NOTE: Risk of machine damage!
Never twist the starter cord around your hand! Only pull on the handle!
Do not suddenly release the recoil starter handle (19)! Allow the rope to return
slowly and in a controlled manner each time it is pulled!
NOTE: The break-in period!
Do not use new machine at full speed (full throttle / revolutions) for the rst
2 tank llings. All moving parts have to “bed in” during the break-in period. The
frictional resistances in the engine are greater during that period. The engine
develops maximum power after about 5 to 10 fuel tank llings.
Setting/stop lever setting
Always set the setting/stop lever (7)
to the Start (I) position before starting
engine (Fig. 9).
After the engine starts, squeeze the
throttle trigger (8) and lock it at the
position between Start (I) and full
throttle by the setting/stop lever (7) for
the desired working speed.
