Mufer
The mufer (18) attenuates exhaust noises and diverts exhaust gases away from the
operator. Check the spark arrestor screen on the mufer (18) for damages or debris
regularly. If it is necessary to clean, modify or replace the mufer (18), contact an
authorised service centre or a similarly qualied person.
1. Disconnect the spark plug connector (16).
2. Unscrew the four xing bolts on the front case (17) using the torx key (27).
Remove the front case (17) (Fig. 22).
3. Loosen the screw on the spark arrestor screen on the mufer (18) using a
screwdriver (26).

Clean the spark arrestor screen. If it be necessary to replace the mufer, contact an
authorised service centre or a similarly qualied person.
5. Ret the spark arrestor screen on the mufer (18) and tighten the screw.
6. Ret the front case (17) and secure it using the four xing bolts.
7. Ret the spark plug connector (16).
