Mufer
The mufer (18) attenuates exhaust noises and diverts exhaust gases away from the
operator. Check the spark arrestor screen on the mufer (18) for damages or debris
regularly. If it is necessary to clean, modify or replace the mufer (18), contact an
authorised service centre or a similarly qualied person.
1. Disconnect the spark plug connector (16).
2. Unscrew the four xing bolts on the front case (17) using the torx key (27).
Remove the front case (17) (Fig. 22).
3. Loosen the screw on the spark arrestor screen on the mufer (18) using a
screwdriver (26).

4. Clean the spark arrestor screen. If it be necessary to replace the mufer, contact an
authorised service centre or a similarly qualied person.
5. Ret the spark arrestor screen on the mufer (18) and tighten the screw.
6. Ret the front case (17) and secure it using the four xing bolts.
7. Ret the spark plug connector (16).
