5 UltrasonicSens orInstallation
Iftheexistingwingsensorbracketsmatchthebracketsincludedwiththekitorthefactory brackets,arein
goodcondition,andaremountedinthecorrectlocationandorientation,theydonotneedtobereplaced.
Onlythesensormustbereplaced.
5.1. UltrasonicSensorMountingGuidelines
Thefollowingguidelineswillensureoptimalsensorperformanceandpreventsensormeasurement.
1. Initslowestposition,thesensormustbe9inches(230mm)ormorefromtheground.
2. Ensurethattherearenoobstructionswithina12inch(300mm)diametercircleprojecteddirectlybelow
thecenterofthesensor.
3. Thesensorshouldbeapproximatelyverticalatnormaloperatingheights.

5.2. LowProfileBracketMountingGuidelines
1. Minimizethe distance betweenthebolts topreventbending thebracketandprevent the bracketfrom
looseningovertime.
2. Ensurethebracketismountedtightagainstthe bottomoftheboom,minimizingthedistancebetweenthe
boomstructureandtheangledflange.
Aproblemcanariseifasensorisnotmountedcorrectly.Thismayonlybecomeapparentoncethecontrol
systemisswitchedfromsoiltocrop mode.
Becarefulthatthesensorbracketdoesnotcollidewithanyotherpartoftheboomwhentheboomisfolded
totransportposition.Ifpossible,mountthesensorbracketswhiletheboomsarefoldedtoensuretheywill
notcauseinterference.
