90ft-lb).
AdjustingtheTraction
DriveforNeutral
Important:Themachinemustnotmovewhen
thetractionpedalisreleased(intheNEUTRAL
position).Ifthemachinemoves,adjusttraction
pumpasfollows:
1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page40).
2.Jackupthefrontofthemachineuntiltheboth
fronttiresareofftheground,andsupportthe
machinewithjackstands,refertoJackingPoint
Locations(page41)andSpecications(page
30).
3.Fromthebottomofthemachineandattheright
sideofthetractionpump,loosenthelocknut
thatsecurestheneutralreturn-adjustmentscrew
(Figure90).

4.Starttheengineandreleasetheparkingbrake.
5.Rotatetheneutralreturn-adjustmentscrewin
eitherdirectionuntilthewheelsstoprotating.
6.T orquethelocknutto22N∙m(16ft-lb).
7.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
8.Removethejackstands,andlowerthemachine
totheground.
9.T estdrivethemachinetoensurethatitdoesnot
movewhenthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRAL
position.
