initiallybedrawncloserbyalternatelytighteningthe
rightandleftsides.
6.Slowlyrotatethereelsothatthesamebladethatyou
checkedontherightsideiscrossingthebedknife
approximately25mm(1inch)infromtheendofthe
bedknifeontheleftsideofthecuttingunit.
7.Turntheleftbedbaradjusterclockwiseuntiltheshim
canbeslidthroughthereeltobedknifegapwithlight
drag.
8.Returntotherightsideandadjustasnecessarytoget
lightdragontheshimbetweenthesamebladeand
bedknife.
9.Repeatsteps6and7untiltheshimcanbeslidthrough
bothgapswithslightdrag,but1clickinonbothsides
preventstheshimfrompassingthroughonbothsides.
Note:Thebedknifeisnowparalleltothereel.
Note:Thisprocedureshouldnotbeneededondaily
adjustments,butshouldbedoneaftergrindingor
disassembly.
10.Fromthisposition(i.e.,1clickinandshimnotpassing
through)turnthebedbaradjustersclockwise1click
each.
Note:Eachclickturnedmovesthebedknife0.022
mm(0.0009inch).Donotovertightentheadjusting
screws.
11.Testthecuttingperformancebyinsertingalongstripof
cuttingperformancepaper(ToroPartNo.125-5610)
betweenthereelandthebedknife,perpendicularto
thebedknife(Figure13).
Note:Slowlyrotatethereelforward;itshouldcut
thepaper.
