thedifferentialcoversections,andontothe
differentialpulleys.
11.Ensurethattheidlerpulleyispositionedagainstthe
backsideofbelt.
12.Rotatebothhousingsbackintotheuprightposition
andsecurethemtothesideplatewiththeboltsand
nutspreviouslyremoved.
13.Adjustthedifferentialbelttension;refertoAdjusting
theDifferentialBelt.
14.Adjustthebelttensiononthetractiondriveandreel
drivebelts;refertoAdjustingtheTractionDrive
Belt,andAdjustingtheReelDriveBelt
15.Installthedifferential,tractiondrive,andreeldrive
covers.

Iftractioncontroldoesnotengageoritslipsduring
operation,anadjustmentisrequired.
1.MovethetractioncontroltotheDisengaged
position.
2.LoosentheretainersecuringtheV-beltcoverand
pivotthecoveropen(Figure29).
3.Toincreasethecabletension,loosenthefront
cablejamnutandtightenthebackcablejamnut
(Figure32)untilaforceof3to5lb(1.5to2.3kg)is
requiredtoengagethetractioncontrol.Measurethe
forceatthecontrolknob.
