thebrakes.Disengagethetabbypressingthebrake
pedal.Engagetheparkingbrakebeforeyouleave
themachine.
ThrottleControl
Thethrottlecontrol(Figure20)allowsyoutocontrol
thespeedoftheengine.Movingthethrottlecontrol
towardtheFASTpositionincreasestheenginespeed;
movingthethrottlecontroltowardSLOWdecreases
theenginerpm.Groundspeedsareasfollows:
•3.2to8km/h(2to5mph)forwardmowingspeed
•14.1km/h(8.8mph)maximumtransportspeed
•4.0km/h(2.5mph)reversespeed
Note:Youcannotshutofftheengineusingthe
throttlecontrol.

Insertthekeyintotheswitch(Figure20)andturnit
clockwisetotheSTARTpositiontostarttheengine.
Releasethekeyassoonastheenginestarts;
thekeymovestotheONposition.Turnthekey
counterclockwisetotheSTOPpositiontoshutoffthe
engine.
SteeringArmLockingLever
Rotatethelever(Figure20)rearwardtoloosenthe
adjustment,raiseorlowerthesteeringarmforyour
comfort,then,rotatetheleverforwardtotightenthe
adjustment.
WaterTemperatureLight
Thelight(Figure20)glowsandtheengine
automaticallyshutsoffwhenevertheenginecoolant
temperatureistoohigh.
Engine-OilPressureLight
Thelight(Figure20)glowsiftheengine-oilpressure
dropsbelowasafelevel.
