Pre-StartingChecks
Checkthefollowingitemseachtimeyoubeginusing
thevehiclefortheday:
•Checkthetirepressure.
Note:Thesetiresaredifferentthancartires;they
requirelesspressuretominimizeturfcompaction
anddamage.
•Checkalluidlevelsandaddtheappropriate
amountofspecieduids,ifanyarefoundtobe
low .
•Checkthebrakepedaloperation.
•Ensurethatthelightsareworking.
•Turnthesteeringwheeltotheleftandrightto
checksteeringresponse.
•Checkforoilleaks,looseparts,andanyother
noticeablemalfunctions.Makesuretheengineisoff
andallmovingpartshavestoppedbeforechecking
foroilleaks,looseparts,andothermalfunctions.
Ifanyoftheaboveitemsarenotcorrect,notify
yourmechanicorcheckwithyoursupervisorbefore
takingthevehicleoutfortheday.Yoursupervisor
maywantyoutocheckotheritemsonadailybasis,
soaskwhatyourresponsibilitiesare.
CheckingtheEngineOil
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Note:Theengineisshippedwithoilinthecrankcase;
however,theleveloftheoilmustbecheckedbefore
andaftertheengineisrststarted.
Checktheengineoillevelbeforestartingtheengine
eachday.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Cleanaroundtheoildipstick(Figure10formodel
numbers07266/TCandFigure11formodel
numbers07273/TC)sodirtcannotfallintothe
holeanddamagetheengine.

notover,theFullmarkonthedipstick.Referto
ServicingtheEngineOilintheEngineMaintenance
sectioninMaintenance,fortheproperoiltypeand
viscosity.Addtheoilslowlyandcheckthelevel
oftenduringthisprocess.Donotoverll.
5.Installtheoildipstickrmlyinplace.

dipstickispointingdownon07273/TCmodels.
