Whenperformingroutinemaintenanceand/orengine
diagnostics,thetransaxlemustbeshiftedintoneutral
(
Figure35).Thevehiclehasaneutralpositiononthe
shiftlever,whichcontrolstheneutralinthetransaxle.
Thefollowingstepsshouldbetakentomakesurethat
theneutralshiftleveroperatesthetransaxleneutral
correctly:
1.SettheshiftleverintotheNeutralposition.
2.Ensurethattheneutralbracketisintheneutral
position(leveltothecablemountingbracketlocated
belowtheshiftbracket)byturningthedrivenclutch
(
Figure35).Thevehicleshouldnotrollbackand
forth.Ifitdoes,manuallymovetheneutralbracket
totheneutralposition.
