housingorattheclutch-pedalpivot.Thefronthoodcanbe
removedtoeasetheaccesstothepedalpivot.
1.Loosenthejamnutssecuringtheclutchcabletothe
bracketonthebellhousing(Figure69).
Note:Youmayremoveandrotatetheballjointif
additionaladjustmentisrequired.

2.Disconnectthereturnspringfromtheclutchlever.
3.Adjustthejamnutsorballjointuntiltherearedgeof
theclutchpedalis9.2to9.8cm(3-5/8to3-7/8inches)
fromthetopoftheoorplatediamondpattern,when
an1.8kg(4lb)forceisappliedtothepedal(Figure70).

Important:Ensurethattherodendispositioned
squarelyontheball,nottwisted,andremains
paralleltotheclutchpedalafterthejamnutis
tightened(Figure71).

Youcanconvertthespeedometerfrommphtokm/hor
km/htomph.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremovethekey
fromtheignitionswitch.
2.Removethehood;refertoRemovingtheHood(page
38).
3.Locatethe2loosewiresnexttothespeedometer.
4.Removetheconnectorplugfromtheharnesswireand
connectthewirestogether.
Note:Thespeedometerswitchestokm/hormph.
5.Installthehood.
