ResettingtheCircuitBreaker
Ifthemowerisrunundertoomuchload,thecircuitbreakerwilltrip.
Followtheseinstructionstoresetthecircuitbreaker.
NOTICE!Neverresetthecircuitbreakerwhenthekeyisinthe
receptacleandthecontrolleverissqueezedtothehandle.
1.Removethekeyfromtheplugreceptacle(Figure3).
2.Wait30seconds,thenpushinthecircuitbreakerbutton(Figure11).

Note:Ifthecircuitbreakerrepeatedlytrips,raisethecuttingheight

OperatingTips
BatteryRunTime
Withabattery-poweredmower,theconditionofthegrassandthe
waythatyoumowwillaffecthowlongthebatterywillrunonasingle
chargeateachmowing.
Thefollowingaresomethingsthatwillaffectbatteryruntime:
Moisturecontentofthegrass—Themoremoisturethereisin
thegrass,thefasterthebatterywillrundown.
Walking/mowingspeed—Thefasteryouwalk,thefasterthe
batterywillrundown.
Modeofoperation—Mulchingthegrassrequiresthemostbattery
energy.Baggingrequiresthesecondhighestamountofbattery
energy,andsidedischargingusestheleast.
Cuttingheight—Ifthebatteryisrunningdowntoofast,raisethe
cuttingheightonenotch.
GeneralMulchingTips
Torodesignedyourmowertomulchgrasswhenthemulchdooris
completelyclosed.Forthebestcuttingresultsandlawnappearance,
followtheseinstructionswhethercuttinggrassorleaves:
Maintainasharpbladethroughoutthecuttingseason.Periodically
ledownanynicksontheblade.
Onlymowdrygrassorleaves.Wetgrassandleavestendto
clumpontheyardandmaycausethemowertopluguporthe
motortostall.
WARNING
Wetgrassorleavescancauseyoutoslipandcontractthe
blade,causingaseriouspersonalinjury.
Mowonlyindryconditions.
Removethekeyfromthereceptacleandcleantheclippingsor
leavesfromtheundersideofthemowerdeckaftereachmowing.
Useawoodentool,notametalone.
Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimesoftheyear.In
theheatofsummer,itisgenerallybesttocutgrassatthe2-1/2
inch(6.4cm),3-inch(7.6cm)or3-1/2inch(8.9cm)cuttingheight
settings.Cutonlyaboutathirdofthegrassblade.Donotcut
belowthe2-1/2inch(6.4cm)settingunlessthegrassissparse,or
itislatefallwhengrassgrowthbeginstoslowdown.
Whenchangingthecuttingheightfromanestablishedsettingto
ahighercuttingheight,thegrassmayappearraggedoruneven
untilthegrassadjuststothenewestablishedcuttingheightand
regainsitsnormalappearance.
Whencuttinggrassoversixinches(15cm)tall,youmaywantto
rstmowusingthegrassbagortheoptionalsidedischargechute,
ortrythehighestcuttingheightsettingandaslowerwalkingspeed;
thenmowagainatalowersettingforthebestlawnappearance.If
thegrassistoolong,leavingclumpsontopofthelawn,themower
mayplugandcausethemotortostall.
Alternatethemowingdirection.thishelpstodispersetheclippings
overthelawnforevenfertilization.
Ifthenishedcutlawnappearanceisunsatisfactory,tryoneormore
ofthefollowing:
Sharpentheblade.
Walkataslowerpacewhilemowing.
Raisethecuttingheightonyourmower.
Cutthegrassmorefrequently.
Overlapcuttingswathsinsteadofcuttingafullswathwitheach
pass.
Setthecuttingheightonthefrontwheelsonenotchlowerthan
thatoftherearwheels.Forexample,setthefrontwheelsatthe
2-1/2inch(7.6cm)settingandtherearwheelsatthe3-inch(6.4
cm)setting.
CuttingLeaves
Whencuttingiscomplete,alwaysbesurethathalfofthelawn
showsthroughthecutleafcover.Thismayrequireoneormore
passesovertheleaves.
Forlightleafcoverage,positionallthewheelsatthesamecutting
heightsetting.
Walkataslowermowingspeediftheleavesarenotcutupnely
enoughtobehiddendowninthegrass.
Ifyoucutupalotofoakleaves,addlimetoyourgrassinthe
spring.Limereducestheacidityoftheoakleaves.
