Ifthemowerisrunundertoomuchload,thecircuitbreakerwilltrip.
Followtheseinstructionstoresetthecircuitbreaker.
NOTICE!Neverresetthecircuitbreakerwhenthekeyisinthe
receptacleandthecontrolleverissqueezedtothehandle.
1.Removethekeyfromtheplugreceptacle(Figure3).
2.Wait30seconds,thenpushinthecircuitbreakerbutton(Figure11).

OperatingTips
BatteryRunTime
Withabattery-poweredmower,theconditionofthegrassandthe
waythatyoumowwillaffecthowlongthebatterywillrunonasingle
chargeateachmowing.
Thefollowingaresomethingsthatwillaffectbatteryruntime:
•Moisturecontentofthegrass—Themoremoisturethereisin
thegrass,thefasterthebatterywillrundown.
•Walking/mowingspeed—Thefasteryouwalk,thefasterthe
batterywillrundown.
•Modeofoperation—Mulchingthegrassrequiresthemostbattery
energy.Baggingrequiresthesecondhighestamountofbattery
energy,andsidedischargingusestheleast.
•Cuttingheight—Ifthebatteryisrunningdowntoofast,raisethe
cuttingheightonenotch.
GeneralMulchingTips
Torodesignedyourmowertomulchgrasswhenthemulchdooris
completelyclosed.Forthebestcuttingresultsandlawnappearance,
followtheseinstructionswhethercuttinggrassorleaves:
•Maintainasharpbladethroughoutthecuttingseason.Periodically
ledownanynicksontheblade.
•Onlymowdrygrassorleaves.Wetgrassandleavestendto
clumpontheyardandmaycausethemowertopluguporthe
motortostall.
WARNING
Wetgrassorleavescancauseyoutoslipandcontractthe
blade,causingaseriouspersonalinjury.
Mowonlyindryconditions.
•Removethekeyfromthereceptacleandcleantheclippingsor
leavesfromtheundersideofthemowerdeckaftereachmowing.
Useawoodentool,notametalone.
•Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimesoftheyear.In
theheatofsummer,itisgenerallybesttocutgrassatthe2-1/2
inch(6.4cm),3-inch(7.6cm)or3-1/2inch(8.9cm)cuttingheight
settings.Cutonlyaboutathirdofthegrassblade.Donotcut
belowthe2-1/2inch(6.4cm)settingunlessthegrassissparse,or
itislatefallwhengrassgrowthbeginstoslowdown.
•Whenchangingthecuttingheightfromanestablishedsettingto
ahighercuttingheight,thegrassmayappearraggedoruneven
untilthegrassadjuststothenewestablishedcuttingheightand
regainsitsnormalappearance.
•Whencuttinggrassoversixinches(15cm)tall,youmaywantto
rstmowusingthegrassbagortheoptionalsidedischargechute,
ortrythehighestcuttingheightsettingandaslowerwalkingspeed;
thenmowagainatalowersettingforthebestlawnappearance.If
thegrassistoolong,leavingclumpsontopofthelawn,themower
mayplugandcausethemotortostall.
•Alternatethemowingdirection.thishelpstodispersetheclippings
overthelawnforevenfertilization.
Ifthenishedcutlawnappearanceisunsatisfactory,tryoneormore
ofthefollowing:
•Sharpentheblade.
•Walkataslowerpacewhilemowing.
•Raisethecuttingheightonyourmower.
•Cutthegrassmorefrequently.
•Overlapcuttingswathsinsteadofcuttingafullswathwitheach
pass.
•Setthecuttingheightonthefrontwheelsonenotchlowerthan
thatoftherearwheels.Forexample,setthefrontwheelsatthe
2-1/2inch(7.6cm)settingandtherearwheelsatthe3-inch(6.4
cm)setting.
CuttingLeaves
•Whencuttingiscomplete,alwaysbesurethathalfofthelawn
showsthroughthecutleafcover.Thismayrequireoneormore
passesovertheleaves.
•Forlightleafcoverage,positionallthewheelsatthesamecutting
heightsetting.
•Walkataslowermowingspeediftheleavesarenotcutupnely
enoughtobehiddendowninthegrass.
•Ifyoucutupalotofoakleaves,addlimetoyourgrassinthe
spring.Limereducestheacidityoftheoakleaves.
