WARNING
Whenthekeyisintheplugreceptacle,themowerisoperational.
Someonecouldaccidentallystartthemower,causingserious
injurytoyouortobystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheplugreceptaclewhenyouleavethe
mowerunattended,evenforashortperiodoftime.
CleaningtheMowerHousing
Beforecleaningthemower,stopthemotor,waitforallmovingpartsto
stop,andremovethekeyfromtheplugreceptacle.
NOTICE!Donotsprayorpourwateronthemowerwhencleaning.
Moisturecangettrappedinthemowerandcausecorrosionof
internalparts.
CleaningafterEachUse
Cleantheundersideofthemowerhousing.Beparticularlycareful
tokeepthefrontcavityclearofallgrassclippingsanddebris.
Removedirtandgrassclippingswithahardwoodscraper.Avoid
burrsandsharpedges.
Brushallgrassclippingsanddebrisoffthetopofthemower
housingaftereveryuse.
CleaningafterEachSeason
Removethetopshroudandcleanoutanygrassclippingsand
debrisfromunderneathitandaroundthebatterywithcompressed
air,avacuumcleaner,orabrush.
NOTICE!Donotusemetalobjectstocleanaroundthebattery.
Ifmetalobjectscontactthepositiveandnegativepostsatthe
sametime,thismayshortoutthebattery.Thebatteryorthe
conductormayoverheatandcauseburns.
Checkforanydiscoloredorcharredwiresandbatteryandswitch
contacts.Ifanyaredamaged,contactanAuthorizedService
Dealerforrepair.
MaintainingtheBlade
Alwaysmowwithasharpblade.Asharpbladecutscleanlyandwithout
tearingorshreddingthegrassbladeslikeadullbladedoes.
WARNING
Ifthekeyispluggedintotheplugreceptacle,someonecould
accidentallystartthemower,causingseriouspersonalinjury.
Donotattempttoinspect,remove,orreplacethebladewithout
rstremovingthekeyfromtheplugreceptacle.
WARNING
Thebladeissharp;contactingthebladecancauseserious
personalinjury.
Alwayswearglovesorwrapthesharpedgesofthebladewitha
rag.
1.Stopthemotorandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Removethekeyfromtheplugreceptacle.
3.Tipthemowerontoitsside.
4.Removethebladebyturningthebladeboltcounterclockwise
(Figure12).
Note:Grasptheendofthebladeusingaragorathicklypadded
glove.

5.Removethebladebolt,thewasher,andtheblade.
6.Installasharp,balancedblade,withthewasherandtheblade
boltthatyoupreviouslyremoved.
7.Tightenthebladeboltto40to50ft-lb(54to68N-m).
ReplacingtheBatteryPack
Toreplacethebatterypack,contactanAuthorizedT oroServiceCenter.
DisposingoftheOldBatteryPack
NOTICE!Donotplaceusedbatteriesinyourhouseholdtrash!
NOTICE!Thissealedlead(acid)batterymustbecollected,
recycled,ordisposedofinanenvironmentalsoundmanner.
Incinerating,landlling,ormixingsealedlead(acid)batterieswiththe
municipalsolidwastestreamisprohibitedbylawinsomestates.
Returnthisbatterytoanapprovedsealedlead(acid)batteryrecycler.
