Thismachineisdesignedforcuttingandmulchinggrassor,when
equippedwithagrassbag,forcatchingcutgrass.Anyusefor
purposesotherthanthesecouldprovedangeroustoyouorto
bystanders.
GeneralOperation
Readthismanualcarefullybeforeoperatingthemachine.
Becomefamiliarwiththecontrolsandproperuseofthe
machine.Neverallowchildrenunder16yearsofageto
operatethemachine.Neverallowadultstooperatemachine
withoutproperinstructions.
Theoperatorofthemachineisresponsibleforkeeping
everyone,especiallychildrenandpets,awayfromarea
ofoperation.Theoperatorisresponsibleforaccidentsor
hazardsoccurringtootherpeopleortheirproperty.
Thoroughlyinspectareawherethemachinewillbeused,
andremovesticks,stones,wire,anddebristhatcouldbe
pickedupandthrownbymachine.Watchforforeignobjects
whilemowing.Objectsstruckbythebladecancausesevere
injuriestopeople.
Wearlongpantsandsubstantialshoes.Donotoperate
themachinewhilewearingopen-toedshoes,jewelry,loose
clothingorwhenbarefoot.Userubberglovesandfootwear
whenworkingoutdoors.
Keepallguards,shields,safetydevices,grasscatcheror
optionalsidedischargechuteinplace.Repairorreplace
damagedparts,includingdecals.Nevertamperwithsafety
devices.Checktheirproperoperationregularly.
Themotorandbladearedesignedtostopwithin3seconds
afterreleasingthecontrolbail.Ensurethatthecontrolbail
functionsproperlybeforeeachuseofmachine.Iftheblade
doesnotstopwithin3seconds,orifthereisagrindingor
scrapingmetal-to-metalnoisewhenyoureleasethecontrol
bail,contactanAuthorizedT oroServiceDealerforproper
On/Offandblade-brakeadjustmentorreplacement.
Beforeusing,alwaysvisuallyinspecttoseethattheblades,
bladefasteners,andcutterassemblyarenotwornor
damaged.Replacewornordamagedbladesandfasteners
insetstopreservebalance.
Useonlythoseaccessoriesandattachmentsdesigned
forthismachine.Usinganyaccessoryorattachmentnot
designedforthisproductmayincreasetheriskofinjury.See
theinstructionsfortheproperoperationandinstallationof
accessories.
SafeOperatingPractices
Donotinsertthekeyintotheplugreceptacleuntilyouare
readytomow.
Donotoperatethemachineingaseous,explosive
atmospheres.Normalsparkingofthemotorcouldignite
fumes.
Startthemotorcarefullyaccordingtoinstructions,withfeet
wellawayfromtheblade.
Usetherightappliance—Donotusethemachineforanyjob
exceptthatforwhichitisintended.
Stayalert—Watchwhatyouaredoing.Donotoperatethe
