4. Se parate the wheel halv es from the tire b y
remo ving 4 bolts and 4 loc kn uts ( Figure 26 ).
Note: If y ou remo v e the bearings from
the bearing/hub assembly , remo v e them b y
pressing on the bearing spacer ( Figure 26 ).
Assembling the Wheels
1. P osition the tire onto one wheel half , aligning
the lugs on eac h ( Figure 26 ).
2. Place the bearing/hub assembly into the center
hole of the wheel half . Ensure that the legs of
the hub are positioned o v er the flang e of the
hole ( Figure 26 ).
3. Place the other wheel half onto the bearing/hub
assembly , aligning the wheel and the tire lugs
and the mounting holes ( Figure 26 ).
4. Using 2 fully threaded screws or bolts (1/4-20 x
1.50 inc h) and non-loc king n uts , loosely secure
the wheel halv es tog ether . Mount the screws
or bolts in the opposing holes ( Figure 26 ).
5. Chec k the alignment of all par ts and tighten
the screws , alter nating from side to side for a
unifor m fit, until the wheel halv es are dra wn
tog ether ( Figure 26 ).
6. Install the 2 bolts and 2 loc kn uts previously
remo v ed in the remaining holes in the wheel
halv es and tighten. R emo v e the 2 long screws
or bolts and re place them with 2 bolts and 2
loc kn uts ( Figure 26 ).
7. Install the wheel to the pi v ot ar m with the
bolts , a spacer , and a loc kn ut. Ensure that the
spacer is positioned betw een the wheel hub
and the pi v ot ar m ( Figure 26 ).

Adjusting the Blade Brake
Cable
W henev er y ou install a new blade brak e cable
assembly or re place the belt, adjust the blade brak e
cable .
1. Stop the engine and w ait for all mo ving par ts
to stop .
2. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug
( Figure 11 ).
3. R emo v e the fuel tank from the tank brac k et.
Note: Y ou do not need to disconnect the fuel
line from the fuel tank.
4. Loosen the cable clamp screw until the brak e
cable conduit slides ( Figure 27 ).
