RemovingtheGrassBag
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Raisethedischargedoorhandleandmoveitforward
toengagethepinwiththecatch(Figure19).
3.Graspthehandlesatthefrontandtherearofthebag
andliftthebagoffthemower.
4.Graduallytipthebagforwardtoemptytheclippings.
5.Toinstallthebag,refertoInstallingtheGrassBag.

Ifthedischargedoordoesnotclosecompletely,
themowercouldthrowobjects,causingserious
personalinjuryordeath.
Ifyoucannotclosethedoorbecausethegrass
clippingsclogthedischargearea,stoptheengine
andgentlymovethedischargedoorhandleback
andforthuntilyoucanclosethedoorcompletely.
Ifyoustillcannotclosethedoor,removethe
obstructionwithastick,notyourhand.

•Reviewthesafetyinstructionsandreadthismanual
carefullybeforeoperatingthemower.
•Cleartheareaofsticks,stones,wire,branches,andother
debristhatthebladecouldhitandthrow.
•Keepeveryone,especiallychildrenandpets,awayfrom
theareaofoperation.
•Avoidstrikingtrees,walls,curbs,orothersolidobjects.
Neverdeliberatelymowoveranyobject.
•Ifthemowerstrikesanobjectorstartstovibrate,
immediatelystoptheengine,disconnectthewirefrom
thesparkplug,andexaminethemowerfordamage.
•Maintainasharpbladethroughoutthecuttingseason.
Periodicallyledownnicksontheblade.
•ReplacethebladewhennecessarywithanoriginalToro
replacementblade.
•Mowonlydrygrassorleaves.Wetgrassandleavestend
toclumpontheyardandcancausethemowertoplug
ortheenginetostall.
