theFuelTankandCleaningtheFuelFilter.
WARNING
Tippingthelawnmowermaycausethefuel
toleakfromthecarburetororthefueltank.
Gasolineisextremelyammable,highly
explosive,and,undercertainconditions,can
causepersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
Avoidfuelspillsbyrunningtheenginedryorby
removingthegasolinewithahandpump;never
siphon.
3.Tipthelawnmowerontoitsrightside.
4.Removethedirtandgrassclippingswithahardwood
scraper.Avoidburrsandsharpedges.
5.Turnthelawnmowerupright.
6.Fillthefueltank.
7.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.

Removetheplugfromthedischargetunnelandclean
itaftereachuse.
Alwaysbesurethatthedischargetunneldoorcloses
securelywhenyoureleasethehandle.Ifthedebris
preventsthedischargedoorfromclosingsecurely,
cleantheinsideofthedischargetunnelandthedoor
thoroughly.

Grassclippingsandotherobjectscanbethrown
fromanopendischargetunnelandcauseserious
injuryorkilltheoperatororbystanders.
Neverstartoroperatethelawnmowerunlessone
ofthefollowingistrue:
•Thedischargetunnelplugislockedsecurelyin
thedischargetunnel.
•Thegrassbagislockedinplace.
•Theoptionalsidedischargechuteislockedin
place.
•Thedischargetunneldoorislockedinplace.

Cleanthebladebrakeclutchshieldattheendofeach
mowingseasontoensurethebestperformanceandto
preventpartsfromdegrading.Cleanthebladebrake
clutchshieldwhenyousharpenthebladebecauseyou
needtoremovethebladeinordertoremovetheblade
brakeclutchshield.
