bolts,atwashers,andlocknutsthatsecureaxlemountingpadstoframe.

14.Carefullylowerfrontaxleandremovefrommachine.
InstallingtheFrontAxle
1.Positionfrontaxletomachineframeandsupportaxleinplace.
2.Placeaxleshimsinlocationnotedduringdisassembly.Installbolts,at
washers,andlocknutsthatsecureaxlemountingpadstoframe.Leave
fastenersloosetoallowalignmentoftransmission.
3.Connectthebrakecablestothebrakeactuatingleversoneachbrake(Figure
211).Securebrakecablestoaxlebracketswithjamnuts.
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallinghydrostatictransmission,ensurethatthe
transmissiondriveshaftalignmentischeckedandadjustedif
necessary.
4.Installhydrostatictransmissiontomachine;refertoInstallingtheHydrostatic
Transmission(page5–92).
5.Installfrontwheelstoaxleandsecurewithwheel-lugnuts.Torquewheel-lug
nutsinacrossingpatternto102to108N∙m(75to80ft-lb).
