DrivingtheMachine
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedas
measuredinrpm(revolutionsperminute).Place
thethrottlecontrolintheFastpositionforbest
performance.AlwaysoperateintheFastthrottle
positionwhenmowing.

Themachinecanturnveryrapidly.Youmaylose
controlofitandcausepersonalinjuryordamage
tomachine.
•Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
•Slowthemachinedownbeforemakingsharp
turns.
1.Releasetheparkingbrake;refertoReleasingthe
ParkingBrake.
Note:Theenginewillkillifthetractioncontrol
leversaremovedwiththeparkingbrakeengaged.
2.Movetheleverstothecenter,unlockedposition.
3.Drivethemachineasfollows:
•Togostraightforward,slowlypushthemotion
controlleversforward(Figure18).
•Togostraightbackward,slowlypullthemotion
controlleversrearward(
Figure18).
•Toturn,slowthemachinebypullingbackon
bothleversandthenpushforwardonthelever
ontheoppositesidefromwhichyouwantto
turn(
Figure18).
•Tostop,pullthemotioncontrolleverstothe
neutralposition.
Note:Thefartheryoumovethetractioncontrol
leversineitherdirection,thefasterthemachinewill
moveinthatdirection.

toneutralandtothelockedposition,disengagethe
powertakeoff(PTO),movethethrottletotheSlow
position,andstoptheengine.
Settheparkingbrakewhenyouleavethemachine;refer
toSettingtheParkingBrake.Remembertoremovethe
keyfromtheignitionswitch.
